Racing is back!!!!

Oh Yeah I'm a NASCAR Fan...so is hubby! We actually met at a NASCAR Race in Micigan...when he stole my hat...I always say I had to marry him to get it back!

We are sitting here watching the Budweiser Shootout! We go through withdraws! LOL! I am rooting for Dale Jr. Hubby roots for Gordon...and I don't mean Robby! So this is the first year that we are at least rooting for the same owners!! My favorite driver is Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett but now that they are not racing I had to chose a new one so decided to go with Dale Jr.

Here is a picture of last years race at Bristol...we have season tickets for both the March race and August race.

Glad to see racing is back...plus today...we had 50 degree weather for the first time in a looooonnnnnggggg time!

Hope everyone's weekend is going great!

Thawing Out!!!

Wow, we got hit by very cold weather last week and snow! On Friday woke up to -17 degrees! That was verrrrry cold! Today we are having a heat wave...LOL! It's 23 degrees today! I don't like cold weather anymore. I used to like it, but don't like it anymore!

January 15th was my Neices Birthday...her 15th Birthday! She is growing up so fast. I hope she had a wonderful Birthday! She lives in Utah and I haven't personally seen her in a while but I'm hoping I will see her soon!

Yesterday was Richard's Birthday! Won't tell you how old but just let me say he's again 6 years older than me! LOL! I made Macaroni Pizza for him yesterday and he actually made his own cake! Love a man who can cook and he can cook! I got him a Cleveland Browns T-Shirt, Cleveland Browns Fleece pullover and Cleveland Browns Skinit for his computer...see a theme here? He loves his Cleveland Browns!

Nothing much going on in the Mayo household except trying to keep warm! Will have to update soon with some pictures. Need to take the camera out and dust it off and take some pictures! Take Care!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

I know I’m being a real slacker! There has been so much going on with work! Been a busy time at work and just don’t feel like working on this blog when I get home.

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We did! The weekend before Christmas we went to my Mom’s for our Family Christmas party. It was good food, good time, and being with family…it was awesome! My Mom is a wonderful cook and everything was just wonderful!

For Christmas we bought Mom a cell phone. She has had some problems with her car this year and it just made sense to make sure she could get a hold of someone if she needed help. Richard and I put her on our account and we are paying her bill as part of her Christmas. I feel a lot better now that she has it…I don’t have to worry so much all the time.

Richard and I just stayed home for Christmas and it was really nice. We opened up gifts we got each other in the morning, then we made a wonderful dinner. We had ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans and cheesecake. Not all traditional but it was great. We ate all day long!

Richard got me my egg cooker that I was wanting but couldn’t find…he found it and bought it for me! He also bought me some sweatpants and a Ohio State Buckeye Sweatshirt! I love everything I got!

I got Richard his 6 seasons of Nash Bridges, that is what he wanted so he got it! I think he’s very happy with it.

Now, we are looking forward to New Year’s. We don’t have anything planned but that is okay as we usually don’t do anything special. New Year’s Day we are going to make Cabbage Rolls…my favorite…that is why we are going to make them. See it’s my Birthday! I’m a New Year’s Baby! I can’t wait as Cabbage Rolls are the bomb!

Richard’s birthday is January 17th, I have already purchased his birthday presents…I just hope that they get her on time. I had to order them, because I cannot find what I got him here in the stores. I can’t tell you what I got him as he does read this blog…and I don’t want to him to find out until his Birthday what I got him.

January is a big month for Birthday’s in my family. Mine, Richard’s, our niece Kyra will be 15 on the 15th!, then our nephew Aaron’s at the end of the month! Won’t tell you how old he will be, but he is married and has 2 beautiful children! Be on the lookout both of you for your cards! I actually am working in 2009 to make sure I get the cards out in time for everyone! I make cards on my computer and I love doing it and want to share with my family.

Tonight, Richard has tickets to go to the Blue Jackets Hockey game. He has had them for a while now. I’m hoping he can find someone to go with him! LOL! He has 2 tickets and I really don’t want to go! LOL!

Well, going to get off here and see what I can get into today.

I want to wish you all a Happy New Year’s! I hope 2009 is a great year for everyone!

Love,

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was great! Didn't do anything but cook dinner with Hubby's help of course and then just pigged out all day long! Oh I love to smell the turkey in the oven! Everything was soooo good!

Too bad Hubby has to work tomorrow and Saturday! I'm not going out in the mess of shopping tomorrow without hubby! I might not be found again alive. I really didn't see anything that we needed or wanted that would make me fight all that! I haven't done that in years and don't plan on starting tomorrow!

So tomorrow...I'm sleeping in and snuggling with my snuggle bugs, Zacky and Jigg's!

Turkey has been thawing

I cannot wait for Turkey Day! I have been so hungry for the smell of the Turkey in the oven...if you know what I mean! LOL! Can't wait. Just going to chill after cooking everything!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hubby's Last Game for the Year

Hubby is a Usher at the Ohio State Buckeye's football games. It's a job that he loves! His Father was one for over 20 years, so it kind of runs in the family. Great Picture of a wonderful Stadium
Of course...Hubby would have to get a picture of the Cheerleaders who came up to their Portal...LOL!

Final Score...Ohio State 42 that team up North 7
