I know I’m being a real slacker! There has been so much going on with work! Been a busy time at work and just don’t feel like working on this blog when I get home.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We did! The weekend before Christmas we went to my Mom’s for our Family Christmas party. It was good food, good time, and being with family…it was awesome! My Mom is a wonderful cook and everything was just wonderful!
For Christmas we bought Mom a cell phone. She has had some problems with her car this year and it just made sense to make sure she could get a hold of someone if she needed help. Richard and I put her on our account and we are paying her bill as part of her Christmas. I feel a lot better now that she has it…I don’t have to worry so much all the time.
Richard and I just stayed home for Christmas and it was really nice. We opened up gifts we got each other in the morning, then we made a wonderful dinner. We had ham, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans and cheesecake. Not all traditional but it was great. We ate all day long!
Richard got me my egg cooker that I was wanting but couldn’t find…he found it and bought it for me! He also bought me some sweatpants and a Ohio State Buckeye Sweatshirt! I love everything I got!
I got Richard his 6 seasons of Nash Bridges, that is what he wanted so he got it! I think he’s very happy with it.
Now, we are looking forward to New Year’s. We don’t have anything planned but that is okay as we usually don’t do anything special. New Year’s Day we are going to make Cabbage Rolls…my favorite…that is why we are going to make them. See it’s my Birthday! I’m a New Year’s Baby! I can’t wait as Cabbage Rolls are the bomb!
Richard’s birthday is January 17th, I have already purchased his birthday presents…I just hope that they get her on time. I had to order them, because I cannot find what I got him here in the stores. I can’t tell you what I got him as he does read this blog…and I don’t want to him to find out until his Birthday what I got him.
January is a big month for Birthday’s in my family. Mine, Richard’s, our niece Kyra will be 15 on the 15th!, then our nephew Aaron’s at the end of the month! Won’t tell you how old he will be, but he is married and has 2 beautiful children! Be on the lookout both of you for your cards! I actually am working in 2009 to make sure I get the cards out in time for everyone! I make cards on my computer and I love doing it and want to share with my family.
Tonight, Richard has tickets to go to the Blue Jackets Hockey game. He has had them for a while now. I’m hoping he can find someone to go with him! LOL! He has 2 tickets and I really don’t want to go! LOL!
Well, going to get off here and see what I can get into today.
I want to wish you all a Happy New Year’s! I hope 2009 is a great year for everyone!
Love,
