Trailer is now Home

We have pulled the camper home, got it winterized and it’s now sitting where it will sit until spring…over at the DSCC where we pay for it to be stored. It didn’t come home without some problems though! First when hubby went to go pick up the Pick-UP it wouldn’t start…his fault…he parked the Truck over at the DSCC in May and it just sat there all summer long without being started. Then after he unhooked the trailer at the place we were getting it winterized…he was going down the road and someone motioned him and told him he was losing things out of the back of the Truck…Tail Gate…broke! We lost our cooler and his tools…which were worth about $1,000.00! UGHHHHH Someone apparently stopped and picked them up as soon as they were falling out of the back of the truck because they were nowhere to be found!

Okay, so we thought oh well, we just didn’t have a lucky day yesterday and figured out luck would have to change for the better! NOT!!! Went out this morning to go get hair cuts and go to breakfast and the car wouldn’t start! Apparently hubby didn’t look or check when he went after pizza last night that the fan on the heater wasn’t shutting of so it ran until it killed the battery. So there we were jumping the car and taking it to the repair shop to find out what was going on with that…$133.00 later we found out that it was a switch that had shorted and wouldn’t go off. We now have that fixed! Hopefully things are fixed for a while!

Hubby left to go over to his job at the Stadium as an Usher. He loves that Job, he loves the BUCKEYE’S! They are playing a pivotal game tonight with Penn State. They need to beat Penn State. Go BUCKEYE’S!

The weather is changing so much! It’s getting a lot cooler. Not looking forward to the snow…grrrrrrrrrrr. Our tree’s in front of our house haven’t even started changing leaf color. They are still just as green as can be. Don’t know what’s up with that.

We are heading down to Huntington next weekend. We are going down to visit with family and to make sure we get down there to put flowers on FIL grave. He passed away on November 4, 2006. We miss him every day. He was funny, and he had never met a stranger. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. You are missed Gene!

Hope you all have a great week and hope you had a great weekend!

Camping & Sports!

We love camping…We love camping with our dogs…until we get a weekend that is full of people who don’t really know how to camp! This weekend has been one of them. We have both our dogs on a leash anytime they are outside, we clean up after them, and they love to go outside and just lay in the grass.

This weekend it seems everyone around us didn’t see that our 24’ trailer was parked here. I had people walking by that had to duck so they didn’t hit our awning poles…now that is a little too close. When people get that close both of our dogs go nuts barking and growling. They are only trying to protect what are theirs and me. These people come running through and I have to grab both dogs quickly or someone is going to get bitten. I was always taught that you never walk through any ones camp site. You show a little respect. So every time I had to shorten the leashes until they were right by my side the whole time having to do their business. We have a large campsite but that didn’t matter. The worse part is that they are walking so close to the campsite that the dogs are going nuts inside…they think that some one is trying to break in! I can’t wait until this weekend is over because of some of the inconsiderate people.

For two days now our trailer inside smells like we had a fire. The neighbors didn’t just have a camp fire; they had a huge bon fire! At times I was worried about our awning and wondered if we should put it in?!?! The smoke was horrible, we even closed up all the windows and vents and you could still smell it strong. Now don’t get me wrong, we love to have camp fires, but the ones they have…the flames were higher than me. It’s going to take 3 days for their fire to go out completely. I knew we were in trouble when I saw them unloading the wood. We only have 1 more weekend and then we move our trailer back home for the winter…I’m going to miss it. We have met so many nice people and I have enjoyed not having to drive 80 miles one way…if we didn’t have to winterize our trailer…I would keep it here LOL!

On to better things…The BUCKEYE’S beat Purdue yesterday…and Kelle, I was even rooting for Florida yesterday…I wanted them to beat LSU. Michigan got beat by a MAC team…Toledo…LOL!!! Sorry Aaron didn’t mean to laugh that hard! Yeah I did!!! Oh that was good! I’m a little worried about Penn State as they just steam rolled over Wisconsin but they have to come to Buckeye Country so that makes it a little better. I was shocked over Texas’ win over Oklahoma. I thought Oklahoma would handle them but guess I was wrong. Okay can you tell I’m kind of a sports fan! LOL!

Well I hope you all had a great weekend and hope you have even a better week! Nora you owe me a phone call! Just thought I would add that in there…hehehehe…I will catch up with you soon!

Our Spoiled Brats

This is Jigg's he is our Boston Terrier who can be meaner than a junk yard dog, but also can be sweet thing. He's 5 years old and a snuggler. He loves to sleep under the covers and also loves to hog the bed. He thinks he rules the roost...like I said he thinks! He's a perfect little camper doggie and all you have to do is open up the door to the car and then go open the door at the house and he's off! Straight to the drivers seat!

This is Zacky...he's such a sweet puppy who takes abuse from Jigg's. He is a Lhasa/Peke. His Daddy is Maxx (below) and Abby our Lhasa who passed away several years ago. Zack will be 12 on January 24th. He is also a snuggler and we call him the snuggle slut as he has to be snuggling or he's not happy! And he is toasty warm in the winter, but can be a pain in the summer when your hot and don't want his toasty butt near you! In this picture he actually pulled Hubby's hoodie over him and just snuggled in!

This is Maxx...he passed away on July 1, 2008 at 15 1/2 years old. We miss him terribly as he was the first dog that Hubby and I got after we got married. Maxx was our baby...RIP Maxx, we love & miss you and will never forget you! Maxx was our little escape artist when we used to camp in a tent...even with his pug nose he could get that zipper up and he would escape. We finally had to get a lock and lock ourselves in so he couldn't get out and run the neighorhood...which he loved to do! Maxx is Zacky's daddy...Zacky misses him badly, especially since he has to deal with Jigg's all by himself now. Hubby and I try to protect him from Jigg's!

So those are our brats and I'm not sure what happened to the picture of Maxx why it's so small and the other 2 are bigger. Hope you like the pictures of our brats that we wouldn't trade for anything...they are priceless to us!

I Hate Monday's!!!

Oh how I hate Monday's! I always feel like I'm running behind all day long! Oh but something funny did happen today...my Warehouse Man T came to work with HOT PINK finger nail polish on...LMAO...apparently he fell asleep and his kids painted his finger nails! Oh I ragged on him all day long and even told him I was putting it on this blog...I'm not sure if he thinks I will or not! Oh but it was funny!!! I only wish I had a picture of it but I knew he would kill me!

Well gonna get off here and get some dishes done...I don't have a dishwasher in the camper...he went home until Friday...LOL! Love you honey!

Bye

Lazy Sunday

It’s getting cooler out…I love this weather! I love camping in this weather…you can have all the windows open and just breath in fresh air. We both today just laid around and didn’t do much. We were chilling with the TV and watching the NASCAR race.

Hubby will be heading home for the week sometime soon. He won’t get home until late tonight as he hasn’t left yet…he loves camping as much as I do…he doesn’t want to go home…might be because he doesn’t want to go to work tomorrow either LOL! He will return on Friday after work. It gets kind of lonely down here by my self but I do get to visit with my Mom more and a few friends I still have to live in Cambridge.

Well going to get off here and get some things done before bedtime. Hope everyone has a great week!

That was close!

Way to go BUCKEYE'S!!!! That was a close one! 20-17 Whew you did it in the last minutes of the game!

Back from Huntington

We have arrived home (to the trailer) from Huntington Trip. We had a very nice drive through beautiful country! It's so relaxing there. I guess because it's a trip away from home.

Gonna try and post some pictures from the game last night with Cincinnati

The first picture was their first seats...the second picture is the seats they stole after half time! LOL!

After they got back we went out to eat around midnight last night. Then I worked on Richard's computer until about 4 AM this morning...boy am I tired now. Going to do nothing but watch the BUCKEYE'S BEAT Wisconsin tonight...GO BUCKEYE'S

Trip to Huntington

Hubby and I came down to Huntington so Hubby could go to the Marshall game with his Cousin. Hubby always comes down to at least one game a year.

He is a big Marshall Fan! Just to show you...check out the picture! This is when he first got it done. It looks better now...will have to get new pictures of it.

Don't think he will be happy when he comes back from the game...they are losing right now pretty bad.

We will be heading back to the Camper in Cambridge tomorrow sometime. We are keeping the camper in Cambridge until October 24th and then moving it home for the winter...will be sad when that happens as we love to camp!

Something New

I decided to start my own blog about the Life of the Mayo's. This is for family and friends to keep up with us. So be patient as I learn how to do this. I have wanted to do this for Months so decided to jump in head first!
